A reputable housing organization in Avondale, AZ is seeking a skilled

Maintenance Technician

to perform a variety of building maintenance, repair, and property upkeep tasks. This role involves both skilled and semi-skilled labor across carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, electrical (non-licensed), and general maintenance activities to ensure safe, clean, and functional housing facilities. Responsibilities: Perform unskilled, semi-skilled, and skilled maintenance and repair tasks Use carpentry, painting, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and mechanical skills Read work orders, identify material/equipment needs, and complete written documentation Conduct preventive maintenance and repairs on building systems and equipment Make structural repairs to doors, windows, ceilings, floors, roofs, and walls Maintain and repair heating and air conditioning units Clean and maintain work areas, equipment, and handle hazardous materials appropriately Inspect property grounds for hazards and report safety/security issues Support general landscaping and sanitation tasks as needed Demonstrate safe work practices and adhere to all safety protocols Respond to emergencies and after-hours calls when required Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when interacting with tenants, staff, and visitors Skills & Qualifications: Minimum 3 years of building maintenance experience Strong working knowledge of property maintenance procedures Proficiency with hand and power tools Ability to follow safety standards and operate in high-heat environments Effective communication skills for verbal and written instructions Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks (climbing, bending, kneeling, etc.) Must have own tools Valid Arizona Driver's License

(No DUI, suspensions, or alcohol-related offenses) Work Environment: Work performed both

indoors

(including unsanitary conditions) and

outdoors , often in high Arizona heat Exposure to noise, physical exertion, and various environmental factors Tools & Equipment Used: Standard maintenance tools Personal computer and basic office equipment for documentation
