Part-Time Clinical Recruiter
Location: Asheville, NC / Hybrid (Remote with occasional onsite) Hours: 20-25 hours/week, flexible Reporting to: Founder and Clinical Director

We are a trauma-informed, evidence-based practice, supporting police, fire, EMS, and other agencies to foster resilience in those who serve communities under high stress

For over seven years, Responder Support has built a team of mental health professionals rooted in respect, mission, and clinical excellence. The Clinical Recruiter will carry that legacy-connecting value-based clinicians to roles that offer deep impact and growth within first responder agencies. This person continues the vital bridge between the clinical vision of RSS and the First Responders on the front lines.
Key Responsibilities
Source and recruit licensed mental health clinicians (LCSW, LCMHC, LMFT, LPC) to fill embedded roles across Western NC and surrounding areas. Manage job marketing across clinician-specific job boards, professional associations, and training programs. Conduct screening interviews-evaluating credentialing and licensure status. Facilitate full hiring process: sourcing, recruiting, scheduling, feedback, offers, onboarding coordination. Maintain and update candidate pipeline and recruitment metrics in our applicant tracking system. Collaborate with clinical leadership to refine JD requirements and position descriptions. Represent RSS at recruitment events, professional meetings, and network referrals. Deliver a compassionate candidate experience, sharing the mission, benefits, and training support offered to clinicians. Essential Qualifications
At least 3 years of experience recruiting mental health clinicians or healthcare professionals, ideally for first responder or trauma-informed organizations. In-depth knowledge of license types and provisional licensure rules (LCSWA, LCMHCA, LMFT-A, etc.). Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills with clinical candidates. Familiarity with trauma-informed care, first responder culture, and evidence-based clinical frameworks. Strong multitasking and organizational skills; comfortable using ATS and tracking recruiting metrics. Deep alignment with RSS missions supporting mental wellness for those who serve.
