The ideal candidate for the
Industrial Maintenance Mechanic
possesses a safety mindset and applies a high degree of self-driven ownership and accountability over their duties and responsibilities. Responsibilities The
Industrial Maintenance Mechanic
will be reportable to the
Maintenance Manager
and have responsibilities for the following tasks:
Performs preventive/corrective maintenance and investigates problems with polymer production equipment including gear boxes, gear pumps, rotary air locks, polymer cutters, bagging machines, conveyor systems, heat exchangers, etc., following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
Performs all work in accordance with established safety, environmental, and housekeeping rules and procedures to maintain safe and clean working environments.
Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, rigging, and hand/power tools
Conserves maintenance resources by utilizing planning and scheduling maintenance model, equipment, and supplies as needed to accomplish job results in demanding team oriented environment.
Prepares mechanical maintenance reports in SAP by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends to assure the highest equipment reliability possible for all assigned areas.
Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and identifying proactive needs.

Required Skills
High School Diploma / GED
Must have one of the below:
Minimum of 3 years of mechanical maintenance experience (i.e Mechanical equipment installation, disassembly, and assembly, millwright, pipe fitting, tooling, rigging, hydraulic, pneumatic, pumping systems, welding, etc.)
Associates Degree or Certification in Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Program
Experience in maintaining and troubleshooting polymer process mechanical equipment
Possess good troubleshooting and problem solving skills
Possess good interpersonal skills in communication, listening, and good safety practices.
Possess good computer skills & knowledge
