Summary of Job Duties and Responsibilities
This position is located at our Hopkinsville Regional Campus in Hopkinsville, KY.
Maintain, repair and make improvements to facilities as instructed. Maintaining facilities in good state of repair, quality of work performed, proper care and maintenance of assigned tools and supplies.
Custodial Duties: Keep the interior of the building clean. Sanitize and restock the bathrooms, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors, dusting furniture. Keep office spaces and classrooms clean, emptying all receptacles and bags for proper disposal, cleaning windows and doors. Other duties as assigned. Maintenance Duties:
Stocking cleaning supplies. Occasional repair to room furnishings such as furniture, ceiling tiles, blinds and bathroom fixtures, light painting and patchwork, and changing light bulbs. Room setup and cleanup for events Routine maintenance to custodial equipment and supplies. Occasional moving and assembling furniture Performing snow removal as needed. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Education Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent. Minimum Experience and Skill Requirements
Two years combined experience including custodial techniques, outdoor maintenance techniques, general mechanical maintenance, and general knowledge of the following skill trades: plumbing, electrical, painting, and/or carpentry. Vocational training may be exchanged at a rate of one-half time per year. Ability to follow written and verbal communication, work independently, good communication skills, ability to plan and make decisions. Thorough knowledge of safe working procedures. Carpentry, plumbing, painting, and electrical. Must possess a valid driver's license and meet the requirements to operate a University vehicle. Preferred Education and/or Experience Qualifications

Work Hours
Normal work hours with occasional overtime. Physical Demands
Lifting and moving heavy objects, contact with potentially biohazardous materials, working in extremely hot or cold weather. Must be able to access and work in all work areas including, but not limited to, roofs, crawl spaces, mechanical rooms, on scaffolding, climbing ladders, on lift units, etc. Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
