The Remote Closing Specialist is responsible for preparing and reviewing closing documents, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, coordinating with internal and external parties, and facilitating an efficient and accurate loan closing process. This role requires a strong understanding of mortgage loan products, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering an exceptional borrower experience. This is a remote role.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, review, and deliver closing packages in accordance with federal, state, and investor guidelines.
Work with processors, underwriters, title companies, and settlement agents to schedule and coordinate closings.
Review final Closing Disclosures (CDs) for accuracy and compliance.
Ensure all loan conditions are satisfied prior to closing.
Address and resolve issues that may delay or prevent closings.
Balance funding figures and coordinate with the funding department to ensure timely disbursements.
Maintain accurate records in the loan origination system and ensure all documentation is complete.
Communicate proactively with internal teams and external partners to ensure a seamless closing experience.
Qualifications:
Minimum 2-3 years of mortgage industry experience, specifically in loan closing.
Strong knowledge of TRID, RESPA, TILA, and other applicable regulations.
Familiarity with Encompass or other loan origination systems (LOS) is preferred.
Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Associate or Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field preferred.
Pay Details:
$19.00 to $22.00 per hour
