Position Title:
Director, Global Commercial Operations
Location: New York, NY
Your role
The Director, Global Commercial Operations will support the implementation, execution, and oversight of processes and policies across key areas of the commercial operations function. This role involves managing global inventory and capacity reporting, ensuring compliance with operational policies, coordinating multi-regional transactions, and providing analytical and organizational support for priority projects. The Director will work collaboratively across teams to streamline processes, drive operational improvements, and support strategic initiatives led by the Head of Global Commercial Operations.
What you'll do
Project and Process Management: Play a key role in driving the overall management of the Commercial Operations function to support the design, implementation, execution, and oversight of processes and policies. Identify and develop key steps and timelines for priority projects for Commercial Operations. Collaborate with Sales, Asset Managers, and other partner groups to develop streamlined approvals and analytics. Communication:
Strong written and oral communication skills with experience in developing and documenting policies and processes in a clear and concise manner Financial Analysis:
Analyze market data, property financial data, and other relevant information to evaluate transaction risks and profitability. Provide recommendations based on insightful data interpretation. Create financial dashboards to enhance visibility into a variety of organizational areas with a focus on commercial agreements and operations with customers. Partner with Finance to audit and develop reporting to provide key perspectives on asset-level performance, through existing quarterly market review processes and ad hoc needs. Review and synthesize data sets within business units to generate insights into efficient staffing needs for incremental growth across regions and markets. Conduct detailed analyses to assess the performance and profitability of our portfolio. Present findings to senior management through clear, effective written and oral communication. Cross-Regional Deals:
Provide analytical and organizational support to senior leaders for strategic customers pursuing highly customized deal terms at multiple sites across regions. Coordinate with regional teams on execution of approvals and customer agreements in uniform fashion. Commercial Compliance Management:
Oversee the tracking and documenting of the Commercial Operations, customer contract approval, and development spending thresholds of the Financial Authority Policy (FAP) approvals and inquiries by the business. Improve, implement and maintain document control standards for approvals. Technology and System Implementation:
Participate in company-wide initiatives to ensure technology solutions can be implemented by Commercial Operations and partner functions, with a focus on partnering with the global inventory management team and asset managers for asset-level reporting. What you'll need
Education Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Real Estate, Operations, or a related field. MBA or relevant advanced degree strongly preferred.
Experience 10+ years of professional experience, with at least:
5 years in investment banking, real estate, asset management, commercial operations, or business operations roles with increasing responsibility 3-5 years in a leadership or director-level role managing cross-functional and/or global teams Experience working in multinational or multi-regional business environments Demonstrated experience driving strategic initiatives and process improvements across commercial functions Functional Expertise
Strong understanding of real estate investment analytics and commercial operations, including sales operations, deal desk support, contract management, and compliance processes Proven ability to analyze complex financial and operational data and turn insights into actionable recommendations Experience in managing global inventory and capacity reporting processes Familiarity with Financial Authority Policies (FAP) or similar governance frameworks for financial and contract approvals Technical Skills
Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills Experience with ERP, CRM, and BI tools (e.g., Salesforce, SAP, Tableau, Power BI) Experience in technology implementation or systems optimization projects

Our published pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and geographical location. Individual pay is based on additional factors including but not limited to job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training. Moreover, an employee's total compensation package varies by role and may include salary, cash bonus or commissions, and equity awards not quantified below.
Compensation range: $175,000 - $200,000 annually. This compensation range represents the Company's good faith belief as to what it will pay as a base salary/hourly rate for this position at the time of this posting.
