3rd Shift (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM CST, Monday-Friday)
Pay:
$36.20 per hour (Union) Benefits : Medical, Dental, Vision, PTO, 401K
Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Line Mechanic to join our Maintenance team. This role is responsible for the daily repair and maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment within the plant. The starting shift will typically be 3rd shift, with the possibility of working 2nd or weekend shifts as needed. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the uptime, safety, and efficiency of plant operations.
Key Responsibilities: Install, troubleshoot, and repair facility machinery and mechanical systems Perform preventive and predictive maintenance tasks Write and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) Repair both heavy-duty and precision equipment Diagnose and resolve basic electrical issues Document maintenance activities through logs and work orders Collaborate with production operators across all shifts Maintain and secure tools and clean work area Follow all safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures Comply with all GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards and company policies Communicate equipment status and needed repairs to leadership Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required 3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience (food or packaging industry preferred) Journeyman-level mechanical skills Advanced knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, and piping systems Basic understanding of industrial electrical systems is a plus Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints and schematics Manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs as needed Work Environment:
