Job Description

The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor who will be responsible for the general maintenance and care of the organization’s facilities, equipment, and grounds. The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor will be a working supervisor while also overseeing and directing a team of building maintenance technicians. The role will travel between local facilities, work effectively under minimal supervision, and can work a flexible schedule.

As a Facilities Maintenance Supervisor you will be responsible for

Effectively planning and supervising the daily operation of the Maintenance staff supporting the troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of various machinery and equipment in a productive and safe environment

Performing field service on various work orders, which include but are not limited to electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, and machine repair

Developing, continually monitoring, and appropriately evolving the preventive maintenance (PM) schedule and procedures

Processing and follow-up with requesters daily on Facilities work orders through a work order management system

Inventory control of Facilities supplies needed for maintenance and repair related to building and grounds, including maintaining vehicle and equipment inventory

Working with various contractors in planning and estimating small Facilities projects

Assisting with internal project construction support as needed, which includes estimating labor and materials

To be considered as a Facilities Maintenance Supervisor, you will need

Minimum high school diploma or equivalent

Minimum 5 years of experience as a building maintenance technician in a commercial and/or industrial field including practical experience in electrical, plumbing, construction, carpentry, heating and cooling systems and building compressed air systems

Minimum 2 years of experience as a Maintenance Supervisor leading and directing maintenance technicians

Ability to understand and interpret technical documents including blueprints and strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems

Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills, including strong proficiency with

Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word

Skilled in the use of power tools and hand tools and must have own tools

Ability to effectively maintain current preventative maintenance (PM) schedules and procedures as well as develop and implement new PM schedules and procedures

A successful candidate may also have

Experience operating a forklift and scissor lift

Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) experience

PeopleSoft experience or similar Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system experience

Ability to work overtime as needed including weekends
