Role : Maintenance Mechanic Technician

Schedule : Monday to Friday - 5:30AM - 2:00PM
Job Description:
Provide a wide variety of maintenance and repair jobs to replace broken, worn or defective parts. Perform a wide variety of maintenance and repair jobs replacing broken, worn or defective parts with items obtained from stock. Move, install, repair and maintain in good working order all plant equipment, including presses, brakes, conveyors, paint room equipment, heating, and small tools. Plan procedures, repairs and maintain various types of industrial and building equipment including heavy and special purpose machines, steam, water, air, and carpentry, cement and related operations involved in repairing and modifying buildings and maintaining grounds. Observe, diagnose, and troubleshoot mechanical devises in operation and listen to their sounds to locate source/cause of trouble. Determine the extent of repairs necessary, estimate labor time required, requisition or make-up repair parts, assemble, test and adjust. Make periodic inspections of equipment and facilities to provide proper maintenance and recommend preventative measures to keep facilities in suitable condition for efficient operation. Detect and report improper operation, faulty equipment, defective materials or unusual situations to appropriate personnel. Ensure compliance to Worcester Plant Quality standards and makes necessary adjustments when required in order to meet quality goals.
In this function you will:
Adheres to all environmental, health, safety rules and regulations, and work instructions. Maintain equipment and perform housekeeping duties as necessary using the principles of 5S. Assist team in achieving plant and department goals. Assist with on-the-job training and continuous improvement. Successfully complete the First Responders' course. Fosters an environment that promotes the company's goals, philosophies, and encourages continuous improvement through participation and teamwork. General knowledge of the company's Quality Management System (EQMS).
Qualifications :
Basic (Required):
Minimum of five (5) years prior experience in maintenance mechanical field. At least one year of Advanced training or experience in pneumatics, hydraulics and mechanics. Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship. High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Only candidates in the immediate geographic area (50-mile radius) will be considered.
Preferred :
2 or more years of prior experience with CNC programming and machine operation. Prior knowledge of robotics systems and maintenance. Manufacturing systems knowledge (KANBAN, JIT, Production scheduling). Graduate of trade or vocational school or the experience equivalent to 4 years of trades training. Experience in MIG Welding.
Skills :
Working knowledge of the mechanical, electrical, and safety procedures of a manufacturing facility. Ability to receive work orders, diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, installation prints and verbal instructions to perform work as required. Ability to use small power tools, such as drills, drill presses, and band saw. Ability to read hydraulic schematics. Basic to moderate computer literacy. Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills. Exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve any obstacles or delays that may occur in the production process. Knowledge of basic shop math. Ability to use measuring tape, and variable gauges, such as calipers. Ability to lift, push and pull 50 lbs. Ability to use a crane once fully trained to lift items Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Repetitive lifting, bending, and squatting is inherent to this position Ability to wear required PPE for the role including but not limited to safety glasses, hearing protection, safety shoes, and protective arm and hand coverings.
