The Maintenance Assistant supports the daily operations of the maintenance department.
This role is responsible for the timely execution of work orders, property upkeep, and preventive maintenance to ensure the safety, comfort, and satisfaction of our .
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Execute and complete assigned work orders for both vacant and occupied units in a timely and professional manner.
Maintain responsibility for company tools, safety equipment, keys, and property maintenance inventory.
Initiate and follow through on preventative maintenance schedules.
Perform maintenance and repairs in the following areas:
Installation and repair of appliances
Plumbing
Electrical
Carpentry
HVAC
SKILLS & EXPECTIONS
Maintain a high standard of property appearance and safety.
Proactively identify and address maintenance issues to prevent service call-backs.
Strive for efficiency and cost-effectiveness in all maintenance tasks.
Communicate and collaborate with the Property Manager to purchase supplies and maintain adequate inventory for make-ready and general repairs.
Stay alert to potential problems and act with urgency and creativity to resolve them.
CERTIFICATIONS & OTHER REQUIREMENTS
EPA Section 608 Certification (A/C and Refrigerant Certified)
Must be available for on-call shifts as determined by the Property Manager to address after-hours emergencies.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions.
Strong work ethic, problem-solving ability, and a commitment to customer service.
