Summary This position is for Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (FMWR) at Fort Drum, New York. FMWR includes Child and Youth Services, Business Recreation, and Support Services, which enable Soldier readiness, support the resilience and well-being of Soldiers and Families. Responsibilities Sets up banquet areas, private parties and outside facilities for formal dinner shows, luaus, meetings, conferences, weddings, etc. involving the physical assembly movement and arrangement of furniture and equipment. Sets up stages, dance floors, pianos, runways; assembling required items, and arranging the areas. Operates a complex electric ground cart for movement of food, supplies and equipment. Performs tasks that require significant manual skill, very heavy physical effort, several steps, phases and detailed procedures following drawings, specifications while utilizing knowledge of project requirements. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Qualified candidates will possess the following: ability to remember and follow directions that involve several steps, phases, or detailed procedures, AND ability to use hand tools to assemble items (e.g., hammer, screwdriver, drill, etc.), AND ability to operate an electric ground cart in order to transport food, supplies, and/or equipment, AND ability to lift and carry items weighing over 50 pounds, AND ability to complete tasks that require very heavy physical effort (e.g., physical assembly, movement, and arrangement of furniture, equipment, stages, dances floors, runways, etc.). All FWS employees are entitled to overtime work for work in excess of 8 hours in a day or in excess of 40 hours in the administrative workweek, whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee.
