Position Summary:
Reporting to the Assistant Dean for Student Involvement, the Operations Manager supports the day-to-day functions of the Office of Student Involvement ( OSI ), providing comprehensive administrative and operational oversight. This position plays a critical role in managing office workflows, budget tracking, communications and special projects and is integral to ensuring a high-quality, student-centered experience across OSI services.
Essential Functions:
Serves as the primary point of contact for managing the Assistant Dean’s calendar, meetings, and internal office workflows.
Oversees daily operations of the Office for Student Involvement ( OSI ) front desk, including training and supervision of student workers and ensuring a high standard of customer service.
Manages and monitors OSI’s comprehensive operating budget (over $2.5 million), including budget preparation, reconciliation, and financial reporting for student programs and office operations.
Coordinates internal and external communications, including managing OSI’s general email accounts, handling inquiries, and supporting meeting logistics and room bookings.
Drafts policy and procedural documents, prepares agendas and minutes, and provides administrative support for departmental projects and initiatives.
Supports planning and execution of major campus programs, such as Orientation, Family Weekend, and Senior Week, in collaboration with OSI leadership.
Maintains and updates office systems and platforms, departmental websites, digital signage, and internal forms.
Oversees access permissions, inventory management, technology coordination, and key distribution for OSI -managed spaces.
Manages all public-facing communication tools and signage, ensuring clear, accessible, and up-to-date information for students and campus visitors.
Represents OSI on internal committees and serves as a liaison to departments across campus to support integrated student engagement efforts.
Required Qualifications:
High school degree or equivalent.
Minimum of two years of administrative and office support required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree.
Prior experience in higher education, student affairs, conference services, or hospitality operations.
Familiarity with technology platforms used to support large-scale service delivery, communications, or event management (e.g., engagement platforms, reservation systems, or CRM tools).
Minimum Salary: $64,600
