Maintenance Mechanic (Manufacturing)

Candidate Source has an opening for a Maintenance Technician with a growing manufacturer based in Richmond, VA. This role involves both preventative and responsive maintenance, with a focus on minimizing downtime and maintaining high standards of quality and safety in a production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform

preventative maintenance

and routine inspections Troubleshoot and repair:

Rollers and mechanical drive systems Pneumatic controls Hydraulic systems (hoses, fittings, seals) Minor electrical components (wiring, terminals) Conveyor systems, Peerless plate presses, and printing presses

Utilize a wide array of tools and equipment including:

General hand tools and power tools (e.g., drills, saws, impact drivers) Troubleshooting tools (e.g., multi-meters, amp meters, pressure gauges) Heavy machinery (e.g., NC lathes, milling machines, MIG welders, band saws)

Follow protocols for

Food Safety, HACCP, GMPs, and Food Defense Maintain high standards of quality and workmanship Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED Trade school diploma, Associate's degree in a related field, or equivalent experience Minimum of

5 years of industrial maintenance experience Physically capable of lifting and carrying up to 60 lbs Ability to frequently bend, twist, squat, and climb ladders
