HUSSEY COPPER
Job Summary:
The Quality Technician is responsible for supporting the routine functions of the Quality department for the assigned location(s). Hussey Copper Values Safety, Teamwork, Communication, Continuous Improvement, and Purpose Agility.
Duties/Responsibilities: Including but not limited to: Performs gauge verifications. Audit processes and products. Complete necessary documentation on test result reviews and certifications. Performs testing on basic dimensional, bending, CMM, conductivity, full GD&T, hardness, hydrogen testing, oil-bugs, oil-tramps, sampling plans, tensile, and titrations. Process sorting/inspecting, lab PM, 6S, and TPM. Ensures quality on OPLs, training, non-conforming material review, 5W2H, and executing corrective actions. Performs other duties as assigned. 1 year experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment. 2-year technical degree (required) 4-year degree (preferred)
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk; sit; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. Work is performed in an industrial setting with varying temperatures, loud noise and heavy activity.
