Avon Health Center, family owned since 1974, provides a range of services, including skilled nursing care, post-acute medical and rehabilitation care, hospice and respite care. We are a 120 bed facility, 90 of which are Long Term and 30 Short Term.
Our Facility has an excellent reputation in the community and we are looking for a caring person to provide leadership and drive the quality care we are known for to our residents.
$20 - $23/hr DOE
Job Details:
The successful candidates must be able to perform the day-to-day activities of the Food Service Department in accordance with current federal, state and local standards to assure our facility is maintained in a clean, safe and comfortable manner. Ideally you should be able to work in a fast paced environment, be very detail oriented and work well under pressure.
This is a PER DIEM position (shifts are usually 5:30 to 1:30 or 12 noon - 8)
$20-23/hour DOE
The ideal candidate must be able to:
Must be familiar with altered texture diets Deal tactfully with residents, family members, staff and government personnel May be required to stand for long periods of time Experience in nursing home preferred Lift, push, pull and move equipment and supplies without restrictions ServSafe is a plus! 1-2 years of cooking experience including scratch cooking and experience with purees Communicate Well Work independently and as a team
