As an MLT II at BJC Healthcare, you play a crucial role in the delivery of high-quality patient care. Operating within our state-of-the-art laboratories, you will conduct and analyze a diverse range of diagnostic tests, contributing directly to accurate and timely medical diagnoses. Join our Lab-Infusion Onc-CAM team to be an integral part of delivering precise and reliable laboratory results that impact patient outcomes positively. Days Schedule: 7am-3:30pm No Weekends! Floating position covering 3 different Siteman Cancer Center locations Licensed or Certified in one of the following: ASCP, AMT, AAB or equivalent or eligible $10,000 Sign-On-Bonus Eligible The Medical Lab Technician (MLT) II (REG) performs specimen processing and routine/complex testing on blood and other specimens which requires a knowledge and understanding of quality control, basic instrument maintenance, and procedure methodologies and reference ranges. Maintains appropriate documentation of all activities as required. Demonstrates good laboratory practice. Responsibilities: Reports and maintains record of patient test results through the laboratory computer system accurately, meeting published turn around times for routine testing and stats. Documents patient test management problems/concerns on quality documents and initiates corrective action. Performs quality controls for all equipment and troubleshoots malfunctioning instrumentation as necessary. Monitors quality control performance and corrects any problems and/or reports any problems to the appropriate department. Operates all instrumentation in assigned areas to deliver precise, timely, and accurate laboratory results. Performs laboratory procedures for specimen collection, processing, test analysis. Trains new personnel in methods, procedures and use of equipment and instruments specific to the assigned area.
