We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist with strong experience in ADP Workforce Now to manage biweekly and semi-monthly multi-state payroll for two entities (950 employees). This role ensures accurate and timely payroll processing, maintains compliance with tax and legal requirements, and supports HR and accounting teams with audits, reconciliations, and reporting. Key Responsibilities: Process multi-state payrolls for hourly and salaried employees using ADP Workforce Now. Validate time data submitted by HR Assistants and branch managers. Accurately enter and review all payroll elements including bonuses, commissions, garnishments, stipends, and spiffs. Ensure payroll submissions meet deadlines, including during holidays and year-end. Reconcile payroll validation reports and ensure accurate transmission. Handle manual checks, voids, retroactive pay, and final pay calculations. Maintain and update state unemployment insurance (SUI) rates in ADP. Support quarterly SUI filings and respond to tax notices. Monitor and process garnishments, child support, levies, and court orders. Track tax liabilities and ensure timely payments. Maintain employee status updates in the 401(k) administrator portal. Upload and validate payroll deduction files post-payroll. Process direct deposit changes, W-4 updates, and address changes for tax purposes. Assist with internal and external audits, account reconciliations, and ad hoc reporting. Complete employment verifications and unemployment audits. Investigate and resolve unclaimed or returned payroll checks. Qualifications: Required: Minimum 2 years of multi-state payroll experience (including CA) using ADP or ADP Workforce Now. Solid understanding of payroll laws, taxes, deductions, and garnishments. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Word. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to meet strict deadlines and maintain confidentiality. Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation. 1+ years of experience in HR or benefits administration. Experience with commissions, bonuses, and spiff payments. Schedule:
