Clinical Laboratory Technologist
Provides technical supervision and training to subordinate-level staff members; performs simple and complex laboratory test procedures in a timely manner as assigned; obtains and interprets data for diagnosis and treatment of disease; performs related laboratory technology duties. Qualifications
Required Education and Experience: License Requirement: Possession of a full license to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist in the State of New York; or Eligibility for full licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist in the State of New York. Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Technology or a related health care discipline. Note: As a condition of continued employment, full license eligible incumbents must obtain and maintain the full Clinical Laboratory Technologist licensure in the State of New York within six (6) months of their appointment to this title. Possession of the Clinical Laboratory Technologist licensure supersedes educational requirements listed above, as stated in section 58-1.5 (b) of the NYS Codes, Rules and Regulations. Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
