Job Description

The incumbent will develop knowledge of systems, materials, and sources to minimize business risks, follow up on performance, and collaborate with other departments to meet production schedules. They will stay updated on industry trends related to assigned commodities, aiming to improve quality, reduce costs, and meet delivery objectives. Responsibilities include supporting new product development, sourcing and negotiating with suppliers, resolving invoicing and accounting issues, and using tools to identify improvements. The position reports to the Procurement Manager for Instrument Hardware and involves working strategically with minimal routine instruction, analyzing data, and handling moderate problems by reviewing relevant factors. Essential Responsibilities include: Supporting Strategic Sourcing projects with Commodity Managers for new product development. Driving continuous cost improvements using Lean Six Sigma tools. Managing risks proactively to prevent project schedule impacts. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred, with 5 years of professional purchasing experience. Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills are essential in a high-volume environment. Practical knowledge of ERP/MRP systems such as PRMS and Oracle is preferred. Experience purchasing for MRO is a plus. Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, and the ability to learn new job-specific programs are required. Demonstrated leadership in continuous improvement, Lean efforts, and cost reduction is preferred. Additional Information
