Certified Medical Dosimetrist Opportunity
Spectrum Healthcare Resources has an exciting potential opportunity for a Certified Medical Dosimetrist to support VA Puget Sound Health Care System in Seattle, WA. If you are passionate about precision, patient safety, and contributing to life-saving treatments, we'd love to hear from you. Minimum requirements include: Certification in Medical Dosimetry by the Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board (MDCB) 2+ years recent experience as a Medical Dosimetrist (within the last 3 years) Experience performing QA procedures 1+ year experience in an ACR or APEX certified healthcare system 1+ year working with Varian Linear Accelerators (TrueBeam with Rapid Arc or equivalent) 1+ year using Image Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT) including Cone Beam CT (per TG-142 standards) 3+ years using Eclipse treatment planning system and ARIA record & verify system (SRS, SRT, SBRT, IMRT; TG-53 & MPPG 5.B standards) 3+ years working with GE CT Simulator or equivalent What You'll Do: Collaborate closely with Radiation Oncologists and Medical Physicists to deliver exceptional patient care. Lead and oversee all medical dosimetry services and quality assurance activities. Create accurate and detailed treatment plans for SRS/SRT (including HyperArc), IMRT, SBRT, 2D/3D planning, and IGRT. Utilize imaging modalities (CT, MRI, PET-CT) for simulations and tumor localization. Design and supervise the fabrication of beam-modifying and immobilization devices. Guide treatment plan implementation to ensure safety, accuracy, and compliance. Perform and document precise dosimetric calculations, verifying accuracy at every step. Support the Medical Physicist with radiation protection, equipment calibration, and quality control. Apply specialized dosimetry techniques, including ion chamber, TLD, and film measurements.
