You create plans, implement policies, manage resources, oversee finances, and manage quality improvement efforts. Arrange educational programs to meet goals and act as caregiver when needed.Essential Functions of the RoleFormulate and communicate a clear vision for nursing practices within your area of responsibility.Involve supervisory and other staff in setting and accomplishing departmental goals.Continually update your knowledge base with the latest evidence-backed clinical and leadership practices.Foster a healing and supportive environment for patients, families, and fellow staff members.Recognize development needs and facilitate educational opportunities for staff members.Set a positive example of professionalism within the nursing field and work atmosphere.Incorporate the organization's mission and goals into strategies for staff and patient care.Key Success FactorsKnowing nursing practices, follow healthcare laws, and communicate well.Quality care, patient focus, and ethical practices are essential.Decision-making, resource management, and ethics are crucial skills.Belonging StatementWe believe that all people should feel welcomed, valued and supported, and that our workforce should be reflective of the communities we serve.QualificationsBachelor's degree.A minimum of three years' professional experience is required for this role.RN licensed.You also need Basic Life Support certification within the first 30 days on the job.
