Medical Director

We are a well-equipped hospital with: Digital Radiology Full in-house Idexx lab (CBC, Chemistry, Sedivue, Snap Pro) Ultrasound for diagnostics and procedures like cystocentesis Comprehensive dental services, including dental radiology Our culture emphasizes teamwork, professional growth, and work-life balance. The Opportunity
As Medical Director, you will play a dual role:
Providing high-quality clinical care to patients Leading the hospital's veterinary team through mentorship, medical oversight, and collaboration You'll help shape the medical standards of the practice while fostering a culture of positivity and continuous improvement. This is an ideal role for a veterinarian with at least 3 years of clinical experience who is ready to take the next step into leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily medical operations and patient care Mentor and support associate veterinarians and clinical staff Lead with compassion and professionalism to promote a cohesive team environment Support recruitment and retention efforts Ensure hospital compliance with all applicable regulations and standards of care Why Ferndale?

Qualifications
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent Licensed (or able to become licensed) to practice in Michigan - Active and Clear Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience Previous leadership experience is a plus, but not required What We Offer
