Summary

The Associate Director of Site Procurement - Strategic Sourcing is responsible for managing direct materials and site-level sourcing activities at the Alkermes' manufacturing facility., It requires working closely with multiple internal and external senior partners to facilitate and optimize the strategic sourcing process A critical role in supporting Alkermes' growth, this leader will align procurement strategy with broader organizational goals and provide direction across all aspects of strategic sourcing at the site.

Essential Functions

To lead the creation, execution and management of comprehensive sourcing strategies for specified spend categories within the responsibility scope of Global Manufacturing & Supply: Leverage deep category and market expertise to inform sourcing strategies and drive procurement excellence Operate with a global mindset to align local site strategies with broader enterprise procurement goals. Utilize Alkermes Procurement policies, procedures, processes, systems and methodologies to ensure compliance and consistent sourcing practices across the company Build and maintain strategic relationships with key senior stakeholders and business partners across the organization Understand the business requirements and articulate the value procurement brings in supporting site-level objectives Identify and deliver business benefits aligned to assurance of supply, quality, service, cost and innovation Ensure financial benefits from sourcing activities are tracked, reported, and aligned with Finance and business unit expectations in accordance with the Spend Management Framework. Create and deliver effective budgets (Plans of Purchase) with key stakeholders and Finance in accordance with the Spend Management Framework Lead, develop and manage the supply base for the in scope spend categories Establish and grow effective strategic relationships with key suppliers Drive sustainable value for Alkermes from key supplier relationships Lead, manage, direct and develop teams of category specialists, located at the Wilmington site To lead and manage the following:

SAP -Material Requirements Planning (MRP)

Purchasing Info Records (PIRs) Commodity Assignments (Raw Materials, Packaging, Bulk Solvents, Excipients, Consumables) Replenishment Buying - Safety Stock / Reorder Point (ROP) Planned Demand - Commercial Drug Product (Proprietary & Partnered) Unplanned Demand - Deviations, Studies, PPQs, Clinical

Supply Management (Continuity of Supply)

Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) QBR - Key Supplier Interface Wilmington Site Operational Excellence Program - Integration 1440 Format (1440 minutes in one-day): RAW Material; Supply Chain; Monthly Planning Scheduling; Daily Tactical (Tiered OpEx Communication & Escalation); Planning/Sourcing/Inventory - biweekly collaboration meeting Quality Management System (QMS) - Supplier Quality / Change Control / Approved Supplier List (ASL)

Required Education and Experience

Bachelors in life sciences or business major required, Masters preferred 8-10 years of experience in procurement and sourcing or closely related Proven RFQ experience in a cross functional environment Proven track record of delivering tangible results in a global complex/decentralizing environment Preferred Education and Experience

Involvement in a purchasing related professional organization CPM Competencies

Demonstrates agility and adaptability in response to external influences and evolving business needs. Self-directed with a strong ability to independently identify and pursue strategic sourcing opportunities. Strong project management and operations skills High attention to detail and demonstrated ability to manage multiple critical path projects concurrently Ability to develop, implement and monitor a metrics performance package for sourcing activities General knowledge of GMP and/or GCP Proficient knowledge of strategic sourcing best practices and support systems Demonstrated capabilities with ERP systems such as SAP as well as Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Project software required Demonstrates flexibility adapting to external environment influences through development of new strategies and tactics Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills required to effectively address problems and interface with other functional areas of the company while working in a matrixed global environment. Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trust and influence without authority. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to deliver clear, impactful presentations. Work Environment & Physical Demands & Travel
