Chick-fil-A Union Station
is seeking a skilled and reliable
Cook
to join our dynamic Dining Services team. As a Cook, you will play a crucial role in preparing and cooking delicious and nutritious meals for the college community. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary arts, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Prepare, cook, assemble, and present food safely, quickly, and efficiently, meeting Chick-fil-A standards. Be knowledgeable of the assignments for all kitchen stations, including fries, breading, assembling, boards, and food prep. Stock kitchen inventory as needed. Keep the kitchen neat, clean, and orderly at all times. Keep up-to-date with new products rolled out by Chick-fil-A. Work safely around kitchen equipment and report any maintenance issues to Leadership. Maintain personal knowledge by completing in-house training and stay up-to-date on any changes. Complete all opening or closing tasks as assigned. Adhere to Chick-fil-A rules and dress code at all times. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a line cook or similar role. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Excellent organizational abilities and the capacity to handle a high-volume setting. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation. Ability to stand for the entire shift. Lift up to 40 lbs regularly. Perform repetitive tasks (chopping, slicing, mixing). Use knives and kitchen tools safely. Bend, reach, and stoop frequently.
