Here's What You NeedAssociate's Degree in Applied Science (Required)ORCompletion of an accredited program in cardiovascular technology (Must obtain RCIS within 6 months of hire)ORHigh School Diploma or Equivalent with 2 years of work experience in invasive cardiology (Required)1 year of experience in vascular or cardiac angiography (Preferred)OR2 years of experience in invasive cardiology with a high school diploma (Required)Prior experience in Cath Lab/IR is preferredARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (Required upon hire)GMRT - General Medical Radiologic Technologist (Preferred if ARRT only)RCIS - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (Required within 6 months if graduate from accredited cardiovascular program)LMRT - Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist (Preferred if RCIS only)RCES - Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (Required for Electrophysiology Labs only)BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required prior to independent patient care; must be maintained quarterly)ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Required within 90 days of hire)What You Will DoPatient Care: Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to assess and support patients' physical, emotional, and developmental needs; prepares rooms, verifies patient identity, gathers history, and assists with contrast media under supervision.Imaging Procedures: Explains procedures, positions patients, adjusts techniques for age and condition, assists with complex procedures, and ensures accurate image processing and transfer to PACS.Equipment Operation: Operates and maintains imaging equipment, troubleshoots issues, ensures cleanliness and supply readiness, and adheres to quality control and safety standards.Professionalism & Communication: Maintains technical skills, attends training, communicates effectively, and supports quality improvement and departmental goals.Administrative Support: Manages patient information, follows proper phone and transport protocols, and performs additional duties as assigned.Additional perks of being a Texas Health employeeDepending on status, benefits include 401k, PTO, medical, dental, Paid Parental Leave, flex spending, tuition reimbursement, student Loan forgiveness as well as several other benefits.Delivery of high quality of patient care through nursing education, nursing research and innovations in nursing practice.Strong Unit Based Council (UBC).A supportive, team environment with outstanding opportunities for growth.Learn more about our culture, benefits, and recent awards.If you're ready to join us in our mission to improve the health of our community, then let's show the world how we're even better together!Do you still have questions or concerns?
