Job Description
This internship exists primarily as an educational opportunity for those working towards a professional career in interior design. Seeking to gain meaningful experience in a professional office, the work of which helps provide facilities and services that support the Church's efforts to bring souls unto Christ.
Location:
Church Headquarters, downtown, Salt Lake City, UT
Wage:
$22.50/hr. Depending on Education and Experience
Work Hours: Flexible
hours between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday thru Friday, 20-28 hours per week for 12 months.
Responsibilities
This Internship will assist our in-house interior designers in the development of projects specific to Headquarters Facilities. With opportunities to work alongside teams of experienced draftsmen, planners, outside firms, and project managers.
This position will allow for the earning of NCIDQ hours, as well as other opportunities to build career-specific skills. Candidates may have the possibility of receiving reimbursement for initial NCIDQ application fees. Updating and maintaining our current artwork inventory as well as managing our samples library.
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
70% Assist with all phases of project design and development
20% Other assignments related to Intern's specific career goals
10% Reporting and Tracking
Qualifications
A junior, senior, graduate level student, or recent graduate in a recognized Architecture, Interior Design, Drafting, or related program Experience organizing construction documents Experience using Revit, AutoCAD, and supporting technologies Ability to manage time and meet deadlines Self-motivated, organized, professional, and able to handle multiple work assignments Proficient with MS Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Powerpoint)
To qualify for this student internship an applicant must be a current student or a graduated student, within the last 12 months
Paid Interns are qualified while enrolled in an educational institution and for one year following graduation. They must sign a Paid Internship Engagement Letter.
