Status: Full Time/ Temporary (1-3 months)

Qualifications:
Must possess high school diploma or GED equivalent
Must have experience in janitorial setting
Must be able to pass criminal background check
Must have the ability to follow directions
Must have the ability to communicate verbally and in writing
Must be a sensitive and mature individual with the ability to relate well to Adults, Seniors, and Children
Must be in good health, be physically, mentally, and occupationally capable of performing assigned tasks
Must be able to work with minimal supervision
Responsibilities:
Community Center
Foyer, Meeting Room, Social Services, and Kitchen bathrooms – emptying trash, restocking paper products, sanitizing sinks and counter, in and out of all toilets, doorknobs on both sides of doors, sweeping and mopping floors
Vacuum carpets in above mentioned areas, and dining room
Sweep and mop dining room cement floor, and social services lobby
Clean windows, inside and outside of all rooms
Empty garbage and cigarette tray outside of social services
Pick up any trash around outside of building
Administration Building
All bathrooms – emptying trash, restocking paper products, sanitizing sinks and counter, in and out of all toilets, doorknobs on both sides of doors, sweeping and mopping floors
Empty all trash cans
Sweep and mop all hallways and Multipurpose Room
Vacuum Conference room and offices with carpets
Wipe down, sweep and mop used classrooms
Clean all windows inside and outside
Pick up any trash outside the building
Vehicles
Attend to basic maintenance and repairs of corps vehicles
Check vans gas levels, oil, clean inside and outside, etc.
Chapel Building
Vacuum all carpeted areas including the platform (stage area) and reset chairs along with music stands in an orderly fashion
Clean glass doors and all glass areas inside and outside
Dust and polish furniture on stage and off, and in foyer. Do not use chemical or sprays on piano – soft cloth wipe only
Dust pews, polish them once a month, vacuum them when needed and report any stains you cannot remove.
Empty waste baskets
Straighten up books in pews, clean up any paper and trash left in pews
Wipe down Band Room tables and vacuum band room floor
Dust mop chapel foyer floor
Other

Must be able to supervise community service workers or volunteers
Other duties as assigned by supervisor, as they relate to the position of custodian
