: Responsible for picking up recycled material from multiple customer locations to bring back to the plant for processing purposes.

How you will impact Smurfit WestRock

: Compliance with WestRock safety rules. Knowledge of and compliance with company regulations. Perform preventative maintenance according to company PM system and manufacturers specifications. Troubleshoot issues with tractor and maintain organization inside. Identify inbound/outbound customers Maintain safe axel weights on front, middle, and rear. Inspect each trailer before taking on road. Source out contractor assistance if transportation manager is unavailable. Safely back trailers in at tight angles on site and at customer locations. Attend daily shift meeting to prioritize and daily tasks and minimize down time. Actively participate in plant safety programs and trainings. Maintain a safe a clean work area at all times. Service all customers on schedule even if it takes after hours of scheduled time. What you need to succeed: High school diploma or G.E.D preferred. Excellent problem solving and communication skills. Team player and willing to work with minimal supervision. Must pass a background check and drug screen. Alert, focused and detail oriented. Physically and mentally fit. Must have ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, route sheets, operating procedures and equipment manuals. Must be willing to work overtime as needed. Must be able to maintain good attendance. Must be able to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
