POSITION SUMMARY:
Repair and maintain all production related machinery, and the physical Plant. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Performs preventative maintenance according to established procedures; Repairs molding and lining department machinery and auxiliary support equipment (e.g. presses, lining/assembly machines, chillers, cooling towers, un-winders, spinning bowls, etc.); Performs mold changes and tool changes; Performs and completes necessary documentation for daily, weekly, and monthly PMs, safety checks, and troubleshooting/repairs; Follows and adheres to lock out / tag out procedures; Fabricates parts (e.g. guards, tooling components) for machines as needed; Continually increases skills through education and training; Familiarizes themselves with all equipment on the production floor including its purpose, use, and function. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs other duties that may be assigned; Responsible for following all Safety Rules, policies, procedures and work instructions; Responsible for following all Food Safety related policies and procedures. Backup: Off-shift maintenance Requirements
EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
High School diploma or equivalent; Fork lift certification. EXPERIENCE:
Hands on experience in pneumatics, basic electricity and mechanical devices, usage of hand and power tools, measuring devices, welding, surface grinders, lathe; Ability to read and understand assembly diagrams, electrical and pneumatic symbols and diagrams, and blueprints/schematics. PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Pushing or Pulling (0-5 lbs. typically 0-15% of the day) - tools; (5-60+ lbs. typically 15-40% of the day) parts, tool box Lifting or Carrying (0-1 lbs. typically >70% of the day) - tools, parts; (1-60 lbs. typically 0-40% of the day) Simple grasping (15-40%) Firm grasping (15-40%) EQUIPMENT USED:
Hand and power tools, fork lift, surface grinders, precision measuring equipment, welders, lathe, milling machine, personal computer, phone, calculator, copier, printer, scissors. CONTACTS:
