SERVICE TECHNICIAN
Location: Newark, NJ
ARC Group is seeking an experienced technician with strong mechanical aptitude to join our client's team in Newark, NJ for a hands-on role focused on the repair and maintenance of compressed air equipment. $30-$45 per hour (Based on Experience) Benefits:

What You'll Do:
Conduct teardown and inspection of returned industrial air equipment Diagnose mechanical issues and evaluate failure causes with precision and accuracy Collaborate with internal teams to provide clear, written documentation on findings and service recommendations Take detailed measurements of worn parts to determine suitability for reuse or replacement Follow schematics and service manuals to rebuild compressors to OEM standards Operate and maintain workshop tools including welding equipment, sandblasters, band saws, and drill presses Interpret engineering drawings for component assembly and fabrication tasks Utilize overhead cranes and forklifts safely to move equipment and parts Keep your work area organized and ensure all activities align with safety protocols Provide training and guidance to customer personnel in the shop environment as needed
What You Bring:
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required; technical certifications in industrial maintenance or safety are highly valued At least 5 years of hands-on experience maintaining or repairing compressors, blowers, pumps, or other industrial machinery Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to follow detailed technical drawings Comfortable working with 3-phase electrical systems and various shop tools Physically capable of lifting up to 70 lbs and standing, bending, and kneeling for extended periods Safety-minded, organized, and an effective communicator Strong team player with a customer-first attitude and reliable work ethic
