Part-Time Procurement Specialist
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Part-Time Procurement Specialist to support our client's purchasing and vendor management operations. This role is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills and a passion for optimizing procurement processes while working in a flexible, part-time capacity. This is a Contract to Hire opportunity located near Bensenville IL.
Key Responsibilities:
Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiate pricing, and manage vendor relationships. Process purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of goods and services. Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation. Collaborate with internal teams to understand purchasing needs and specifications. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate restocking as needed. Assist in developing and implementing procurement policies and best practices. Track and report on procurement metrics and cost-saving initiatives. Qualifications:
Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management. Strong negotiation and communication skills. Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. High attention to detail and analytical thinking. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred. Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle). Experience with QuickBooks Desktop is a huge plus. Knowledge of contract management and compliance standards. Familiarity with sustainable and ethical sourcing practices.
Job Details:
Contract to Hire Pay is $25-$35 an hour, depending on experience
