Description
We are seeking a Senior Compliance Lead Strategist to lead the effort to interpret our Austin, Texas client's new legal reporting requirements, assess their current environment, and define a comprehensive compliance strategy. This hybrid contract role (you must live in Texas) requires skills and experience in eDiscovery, Microsoft Purview, information governance, data and reporting compliance, and business/technical analysis.
Responsibilities include: • nalyze the new law and translate it into business and technical requirements. • ssess current tools, workflows, policies, and the data governance landscape. • Lead discovery sessions with stakeholders, including legal, IT, and compliance teams. • Develop a compliance strategy, design and workflow documents, and a high-level implementation roadmap. • Identify potential gaps in the current use of Microsoft Purview and recommend enhancements. • Work closely with IT and business departments to align priorities. • Draft or contribute to documentation and presentations for leadership. • Provide recommendations on staffing, resources, and technology configurations.
Qualifications: • 8+ years in business analysis, compliance, or data governance. • Strong experience with Microsoft Purview, particularly eDiscovery and data classification. • Deep knowledge of regulatory compliance and reporting frameworks • Demonstrated ability to define strategic plans in complex environments. • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills. • Preferred: Prior experience with government or public sector environments.
