Job Summary:
The Facilities Specialist is responsible for the upkeep, repair, and general maintenance of LCAP's buildings and grounds. This role ensures a safe, clean, and functional environment for staff, volunteers, and clients by performing routine maintenance tasks, addressing repair needs, and coordinating with outside vendors when necessary.

Daily job responsibilities/functions to include, but not limited to:
Upkeep, maintain, and ensure ongoing functionality of LCAP buildings, including both the interior and exterior. Manage maintenance requests, oversee repairs, ensure safety and security, and coordinate with various vendors. Perform routine building grounds and equipment checks. Troubleshoot, evaluate, and make recommendations to upgrade maintenance operations and/or implement savings opportunities. Responsible for keeping maintenance records as necessary and the facility event calendar. Minor carpentry, electrical repairs, plumbing repairs, wall repairs, light bulb replacement, hanging pictures/bulletins/dry erase boards. Maintain supply and tool inventory and order as needed. Perform workstation, conference room, and event set-up. Wear proper Personal Protective Equipment as required. Provide assistance moving items throughout the building as needed. General maintenance of grounds to include snow removal, weeding, watering outdoor plants, mowing and lawn care for both LCAP buildings. Bathroom maintenance, such as repairing bathroom fixtures, unclogging commodes, sinks and sewage lines. Perform company vehicle cleanliness checks regularly. Restock supplies in bathrooms, breakrooms and common areas. Other routine maintenance duties as assigned. Maintain predictable and regular attendance, work stated hours, communicate, comprehend, and follow policies and procedures, and develop and maintain positive working relationships with all staff. Must be able to perform all job responsibilities satisfactorily and meet the Facilities Specialist physical requirements. All employees must possess and maintain a Valid Ohio Driver's License and the minimum auto insurance coverage for Ohio (must be able to provide proof upon request). All job offer applicants must successfully pass a
pre-employment background check and urine drug screening.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Background in construction, engineering, or mechanical/equipment maintenance fields. High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Excellent verbal communication skills. Strong project management, multitasking, and decision-making skills. Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with various vendors. Must be able to work independently. Regular and reliable attendance expected, including the ability to work assigned shifts as scheduled.
