Position Overview
We are seeking a versatile and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the optimal functioning and upkeep of our company's facilities and equipment. This role involves a wide range of maintenance tasks, from routine inspections and preventative maintenance to troubleshooting and repairing complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical and electronic aptitude, with the ability to perform general maintenance and repair on compressors, machines, CNC and PLC controls, pneumatics, hydraulics, and facility equipment to ensure optimal functionality and safety. Responsibilities also include maintaining property grounds, performing carpentry, and ensuring all work complies with safety standards. This position requires a proactive individual who can work collaboratively with various departments to minimize downtime and maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform general maintenance service/repairs of company facilities. Perform routine maintenance tasks on compressors, machines, CNC and PLC controls, pneumatics, hydraulics, and facility equipment. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and potential issues. Maintain the property grounds both inside and outside. Perform carpentry and snow removal when necessary. Safely construct, install, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain equipment, machinery, structures, and electrical systems within the facilities. Implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment life Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs. Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards. Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize disruptions. Assist in the setup and breakdown of equipment for events and projects as needed. Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance tools and equipment. Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent. Experience:
Basic understanding of maintenance procedures and safety practices. Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in maintenance tasks. Strong electronic and mechanical abilities. Mechanical systems - concepts in repair, replace, install equipment and troubleshoot knowledgeable. Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. Ability to use common maintenance tools and equipment Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written) Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in maintenance or related role. Technical, vocational, or on-the-job training in at least one of the following areas: maintenance, HVAC, electrical, mechanical, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry, or engine repair. Experience with maintenance management software. Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Knowledge of CNC and PLC controls, pneumatics, and hydraulics. Soft Skills:
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Proactive and detail-oriented Able to follow instructions Able to work independently and as part of a team Physical Requirements
This position may require working in various environments, including indoor and outdoor settings. This role may involve climbing ladders, working at heights, and operating heavy machinery. Must be able to lift and carry heavy objects as needed. Safety Requirements:
