Areas of Responsibility:
Adhere to all company safety regulations and current knowledge of safety procedures required (e.g., lock out/tag out, confined space entry)
Required skills including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and simple electrical troubleshooting
Utilize diagrams, schematics, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer’s specifications in order to maintain and properly fix machinery issues
Lubricate equipment as needed and identify and communicate opportunities to improve the lube program through improved techniques, technology, and knowledge sharing.
Perform other tasks as assigned
The candidate:
Education & Certifications
High school diploma, GED required
Two year technical or industrial maintenance degree/certificate and three (3) years industrial mechanical experience or two-year technical degree
Qualification & Experience
Three (3) years or more of industrial electrical and mechanical maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment OR an Associate’s Degree or Industrial Maintenance Certification in a related field with at least one (1) year of industrial electrical and mechanical maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
Experience working with 3-phase 480-volt AC motors and DC drives
Experience troubleshooting issues with bearings, chains, sprockets, gearboxes, and conveyors
Experience reading blueprints, technical drawings, and/or electrical schematics
Experience troubleshooting and repairing hydraulics and pneumatics
Experience working with computers, such as using Microsoft Office programs like Word, Excel, and Outlook
Willing and able to work any shift, holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed
Willing to work overtime and weekends as needed
Willing and able to work in elevated spaces
Willing and able to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations
Results driven attitude and demonstrate a willingness and ability to learn unfamiliar production machine processes
Individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
Work independently or in a team environment
SKILLS
Be able to communicate with supervisors and understand simple instructions. Be able to read and understand operator’s manual. Employee must also be able to write work orders and fill out necessary production paperwork.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Must be able to add and subtract basic fractions.
Be able to use a calculator for addition, subtraction, multiplying and dividing.
REASONING ABILITY
Be able to isolate and solve basic mechanical problems & troubleshooting
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Employee must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Willing and able to perform tasks such as lifting, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and/or pulling. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
WORK EVNIRONMENT
Employee must wear protective glasses, safety vest, earplugs, and steel toe shoes. The plant is generally clean of debris and clutter but the manufacturing process generates a fair amount of dust. There are hazardous materials in the manufacturing process (see MSDS book). The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Most of the work is inside the plant with occasional work ( Job Type: Full-time
Salary Range: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour based on experience
Schedule:
8 hour shifts/Sunday - Thursday / 10:30 PM - 6:30 AM / Overtime as needed
