Basic Function of the Position:

The Sr. Manager will provide extensive operational and administrative support for events hosted at CTA's Innovation House and the Leaders in Technology Program at CES. The Sr. Manager will have significant venue logistics responsibilities, including building and maintaining relationships with key event personnel and vendors. This role will coordinate closely with both internal CES teams and external partners to develop, organize, and implement efficient systems and processes that ensure smooth venue operations. Additionally, the Sr. Manager will collaborate with internal CES stakeholders and external consultants to plan and execute the Leaders in Technology Program and related policy programming at CES.

Critical Duties and Responsibilities: Manage property, event, and administrative aspects of the CTA Innovation House. Manage two direct reports on townhouse management, event coverage, and logistics. Coordinate with event personnel (internal and external) and vendors to ensure seamless operations leading up to and throughout events. Coordinate with CTA Government and Legal Affairs, as well as with other departments within CTA on programming at the Innovation House. Develop, organize, and implement processes and systems to ensure smooth and efficient use of venue operations as well as new ways to leverage and utilize the house. Build and maintain relationships with political fundraisers, key event personnel and vendors. Maintain the Innovation House facility including coordinating with building management company, IT, and Finance on repairs to facility, troubleshoot issues with facility and equipment etc. Develop annual CES Leaders in Technology Program including development of schedules, program registration, VIP scheduling, ethics, lodging, and transportation. Develop and manage GLA CES staff schedules, lodging, and transportation. Manage LIT program intern, LIT Program consultant, and onsite temps and consultants for the LIT Program Act as a liaison with other departments, external CES LIT Program consultants and other partners. In conjunction with SVP serve as liaison with external ethics counsel to ensure LIT programming and other GLA events maintain compliance with federal, congressional, and state ethics laws. Coordinate Government and Legal Affairs team on administering 'Lobby Days', CES on the Hill, CES programming and other events as needed. Monitor development and execution of the Innovation House and GLA CES budget. Represent CTA at events, including political fundraisers and industry meetings. Ability to work early morning and late evening events. Work Experience:

7-10 years of experience working in Government Affairs, the Association space, on Capitol Hill or in a Legislative environment. Project management experience Experience working on event logistics and working with external vendors. Education/Training:

Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Public Policy preferred or commensurate experience Skills/Capabilities/Technical:

Highly organized self-starter who can work independently with minimal level of supervision Strong attention to detail Strong program and project management skills Excellent interpersonal skills Must exercise strong judgment
