Role Overview
As a
Senior Estimator , you'll lead the estimating process on complex, multidisciplinary
heavy civil construction projects . Your day-to-day will involve reviewing project documentation, performing accurate quantity takeoffs, analyzing subcontractor and vendor proposals, and supporting both preconstruction and post-bid phases alongside project managers and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage bid efforts for large-scale heavy civil infrastructure projects
Interpret and review project drawings, specifications, and design documents
Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and cost analysis
Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes for accuracy and competitiveness
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and owner representatives
Support project buyouts and handoff processes post-award
Qualifications
5–10 years of estimating experience focused on heavy civil construction
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
Advanced knowledge of
HCSS HeavyBid
and
Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation, or Carlson is a plus
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
