Description
Performs general (non-mechanical) labor duties such as but not limited to strapping finished goods, stacking pallets, tote makeups and tear downs, and dumping. Inspects product for extraneous materials, dumps totes, closes boxes and performs other duties on the line as directed. Ensures that each job function is performed according to specifications. Keeps work area clean in accordance with good housekeeping practices. Responsible for physically lifting to 50-100 pounds, as required. Ensures individual job objectives and corporate objectives are met. Reports any mechanical and/or safety concerns to the Supervisor or Lead immediately. Adheres to common safety practices and procedures including the wearing of protective equipment and clothing as required Adheres to the Company's plant hygiene standards consistent with GMP's to ensure high product integrity. Should not leave work area unless given permission by the Supervisor or Lead. Responsible for following food safety, legality, and quality polices and procedures within the scope of the job responsibilities such as but not limited to: GMP's, safety, product quality, food security, plant security, etc. Performs other duties as assigned by the Freezer's Production Supervisor or Lead.
Qualifications
Basic Math Skills Ability to record data onto a spreadsheet. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to communicate with management and co-workers. Ability to work in all environments. Must be able to work overtime as required. Must maintain a good attendance record Safe work habits ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The ability to attend work predictably and regularly and to be punctual. The ability to read and understand documents, drawings, and instructions (whether presented in written, oral, diagram or schedule form). The ability to work with mathematical concepts and to apply concepts to practical situations. The ability to work cooperatively with others. The ability to deal politely and professionally with customers and coworkers. The ability to perform several tasks at once. The ability to follow directions or instruction. The ability to use a computer to communicate, create, and access information. The ability to lift and move 50-100 pounds. The ability to sit/stand/bend/stretch, etc. The ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with the hands and arms.
