Position Overview: Cenergistic is seeking a skilled and motivated Controls Technician to support our energy conservation and sustainability initiatives across client facilities. This role plays a key part in ensuring optimal performance of Building Automation Systems (BAS) and HVAC controls to drive utility savings and operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with Johnson Controls, Siemens, and Honeywell systems and possess a solid understanding of HVAC, BAS, and energy management strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

Inspect, troubleshoot, calibrate, and repair Building Automation Systems (BAS) and control equipment.

Integrate and optimize control systems to enhance energy efficiency across facilities.

Collaborate with Energy Specialists, Client Managers, and site staff to identify control-related improvements.

Interpret control drawings, sequence of operations, and programming logic for multiple control system platforms.

Configure and fine-tune BAS components including sensors, actuators, VFDs, and controllers.

Maintain thorough documentation on controls infrastructure and system changes.

Conduct site audits and support measurement & verification processes.

Participate in training and continuous improvement efforts related to controls and automation.

Required Qualifications:

3+ years of experience working with commercial BAS and HVAC control systems.

Proven hands-on experience with Johnson Controls Metasys, Siemens Desigo/Apogee, and Honeywell Building Management Systems.

Strong understanding of HVAC systems, sequences of operation, and energy efficiency principles.

Ability to read wiring diagrams, control schematics, and interpret system architecture.

Experience with field diagnostics and controls troubleshooting.

Working knowledge of networking and communication protocols (BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks, etc.).

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate degree or technical certification in HVAC, BAS, Electrical Technology, or related field.

Experience in K-12, higher education, or healthcare facilities.

Familiarity with energy management platforms or data analytics tools.
