Job Description
As a Sales Manager with Alta Genetics, you will provide oversight, guidance, and mentorship to the Mid-Atlantic region team, which spans from Maine to Florida, with the heaviest concentration in Pennsylvania and New York. You will focus on identifying primary customer segments and providing world class service to our existing clients. The ideal candidate will be familiar with and have a proven track record of managing the P&L of the region, developing best-in-class consultative sales professionals and hands-on field technicians, and promoting Alta's service and value in delivering trustworthy genetics and high-quality reproductive and herd management systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES Recruit, lead, coach, develop and retain a team of sales, technical, and service personnel Communicate and promote the company to establish the brand and market presence in the area Work with the Regional Sales Director to develop annual goals, budgets, marketing plans and targets Strategic planning, business development, and profitability for region Manage designated regional P&L Strong contribution and engagement in all US Sales meetings Planning for and taking corrective actions when gaps are identified within the team Regularly report on progress and performance of the region Requirements:
Bachelor of Science Degree is preferred (focus in Animal Science, Dairy Science or Agricultural Science is desirable) Possess a sound agricultural background and/or dairy industry experience A proven track record of success within a target driven sales environment Excitement for a Player/Coach role Ability to travel approximately 50% within the region Ability to motivate and inspire a team Professional presence; ability to present to all levels/audiences
