Unlock your potential!Job Summary and QualificationsMammography Technician (or Mammographer) -- PRN/Per Diem Ourimagingteams are a committed, caring group of professionals. We are currently seeking a Florida-licensed Mammography Technician to perform routine preventative and diagnostic mammographic procedures including stereotactic, ABBI and breast needle localization procedures. We prioritize patient care. If you are dedicated to caring for others, this could be your next career opportunity. As a Mammographer under the direction of a Radiologist, your duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Perform mammography/radiology studies in a careful, compassionate and respectful manner obtaining high-quality images ready for interpretationPrepare, transfer and position patients as needed ensuring modesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices indicatedDocument all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on timeMaintain proactive and effective communication with patient and other caregiver colleagues to include the radiologistCheck the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases and keep room stocked with necessary supplies Qualifications Graduate of a 24-month Radiology Technology program at an AMA approved school Minimum of 1-3 years previous Mammography Tech experience Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT)Valid ARRT (M) certification Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certificationKnowledge of the use and maintenance of equipment specific to mammographyAbility to lift 50 lbs maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbsHCA Florida Sarasota Doctors Hospital is located in Sarasota County, FL.
