Nurse Manager Cardiac Stepdown Unit (Full-Time, Days)
Location: Plano, TX 75075 Salary Range: $84,849 $127,274 per year (based on experience) Sign-On Bonus & Relocation Assistance: Available on a case-by-case basis We are seeking an experienced Nurse Manager to lead our Cardiac Stepdown Unit. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care while managing unit operations, staff performance, and financial stewardship. The Nurse Manager will oversee daily workflows, support professional development, and promote a collaborative care environment. Key Responsibilities
Ensure the delivery of evidence-based, goal-directed nursing care Lead and develop unit-based staff, promoting professional growth and clinical excellence Maintain compliance with infection prevention and patient safety standards Oversee departmental budgets and ensure cost-effective operations Drive patient, employee, and physician satisfaction initiatives Promote interdisciplinary collaboration for optimal patient outcomes Support continuous process improvement and adherence to regulatory standards Foster a culture of safety and patient-centered care through education, coaching, and performance reviews Qualifications
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of recent acute care leadership experience in a cardiac stepdown or critical care setting required Experience in Magnet or Pathway to Excellence facilities highly preferred Education:
BSN required; MSN or master's degree in a related field preferred Licensure/Certifications:
Current Texas RN license or compact state equivalent BLS and ACLS certifications required National specialty certification or commitment to obtain within 1 year of hire Additional Details
Unit: 37-bed Cardiac Stepdown Unit Team: Oversees 60 Full-Time Equivalents (FTEs) Reporting Structure: Reports to the Director of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Interview Process: Initial virtual interviews via WebEx, followed by onsite interviews with senior leadership Join a facility committed to excellence, innovation, and compassionate care.
