Position Summary:
Tellers are responsible for providing quality customer service experience including efficient and accurate paying and receiving transactions. Assessing customer needs and providing information on bank products and services is an important part of this position. The Teller has no previous banking experience.
Responsibilities:
Emulate SSB&T Core Values Greet customers and provide quality customer service Provide account services to customers regarding daily transactions such as, process deposits, accept loan payments, cash checks/savings withdrawals, and redeem saving bonds Process and balance Teller Capture Record/process night drop and mail deposits Process cashier's checks and gift cards Process online transfers Balance cash drawer, vault and ATM Process coins through coin counter Process change orders for Commercial Customers Provide customer service by answering questions for customer in person/phone Accept address changes Refer customer to other bank products/services Customer Entry to Safe Deposit Boxes Receive/Ship money to Federal Reserve Other duties as assigned Requirements
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Ability to handle large amounts of currency with speed and accuracy Good organizational, relational and communication skills Excellent customer service skills Prior cash handling experience preferred 10-key by touch preferred Proficient computer skills relevant to Outlook, Word & Excel
