About the Line Cook Position
We're seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Line Cook to join our team. As a Line Cook, you'll be responsible for preparing excellent meals for our patrons while also maintaining your station and keeping track of inventory.
Excellent communication skills are a must, as is the ability to multitask. Working in the kitchen means working in a fast-paced environment, so you'll need to stay organized to keep our customers satisfied.
Line Cook Responsibilities Set up and maintain the workstation, ensuring everything is well-stocked, orderly, and clean Prepare ingredients for established dishes, such as chopping vegetables and cutting meat Cook ingredients as directed by the head chef or sous chef, plating dishes as indicated by recipes Adhere to all health and safety standards when preparing food Provide assistance to the head chef or sous chef as directed Line Cook Requirements [2+] years experience as a Line Cook High school diploma required; culinary certificate or degree preferred Strong knowledge of best restaurant practices and cooking methods, including safe knife-handling skills Superb attention to detail while being able to work quickly and efficiently Excellent multitasking and organizational skills while working in a fast-paced environment Must be a motivated team player
