For over 30 years, Glen Oaks Hospital has been a leader in the field of mental health and chemical dependency care, and our staff is dedicated to researching the latest treatment approaches and applying this to our overall treatment philosophy. Position Summary: The LVN performs under the direction of a Registered Nurse in providing nursing care to assigned patients, utilizing basic understanding of psychiatric and personality disorders. Hours: 7am to 3pm, 5 days per week, rotating weekends Qualifications: Education: Graduate from a Vocational School of Nursing Accredited by the State Board of Nursing. Experience: Minimum one (1) year as a /LVN in psychiatric nursing preferred. Licensure: Licensed to practice Vocational nursing from the State Board of Nursing or Psychiatric Technicians. Additional Requirements: Must pass a medication administration exam before administering medications. CPR certification and successful completion of Handle with Care (HWC) including restraint and seclusion policies and Verbal De-escalation before on the unit orientation and prior to assisting in restraining procedures.
