This role is essential in building lasting relationships and securing resources to support Auburn University's philanthropic mission. What Youll Do: Strategic Planning & Oversight:
Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance alumni engagement and donor relations, collaborating with leadership to align programs with the colleges mission. Event & Program Management:
Oversee daily operations of the Engagement and Donor Relations team, ensuring successful planning and execution of alumni and donor events. Alumni Council Development:
Support creation and management of Alumni Council programming, organizing meetings and initiatives. Data Analysis & Reporting:
Lead data collection and analysis to guide strategic decisions, developing benchmarks to measure program effectiveness. Communications & Materials Development:
Oversee the creation of reports and presentations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in communication. Team Leadership & Performance Management:
Supervise staff, ensuring professional development and alignment with strategic goals. Stewardship and Engagement:
Show gratitude through personalized acknowledgements, maintain regular contact with donors, and ensure they feel valued. Champion Philanthropy:
Foster a culture of giving, encouraging stakeholders to support the universitys mission and showcasing the impact of donations. Essential Functions Advance the mission of Harbert College through strategic direction and leadership in alumni engagement and donor relations. Build strong partnerships across teams, supporting the development of alumni programs and supervising staff. Demonstrate innovative approaches to engagement, utilizing data to inform strategies and improve programs. Desired Qualifications Knowledge of marketing, communication strategies, and budgeting principles. Ability to lead through influence and develop strategic marketing plans. Strong interpersonal skills and team leadership abilities.
