Please ensure technicians are aware of performance expectations. This role is in a fast-paced outpatient facility that requires autonomy, effective teamwork, great communication, a positive attitude, and flexibility. The daily caseload ranges from 30 to 50 mammograms. The standard work hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The technologist will be compensated for time spent traveling to and from the worksite while riding in the van. If van assignments are unavailable, the technologist will be scheduled to work at physical breast clinic locations. Occasional Saturday work may be required, depending on operational needs. The technologist must be willing to shift work hours if overtime is involved. The technologist must perform screening and diagnostic mammograms. This role is responsible for performing high-quality mammography according to established standards to ensure accurate physician interpretation. It requires a strong understanding of anatomical positioning, radiographic techniques, and adherence to regulatory guidelines. The technologist must maintain detailed quality control records to meet inspection standards. Regular equipment maintenance and completing workflows are additional responsibilities. Collaboration with team members and leadership is essential to uphold health and safety compliance while minimizing equipment downtime. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are needed for engaging with leadership, team members, and diverse patient populations. Current mammography certification and Basic Life Support (BLS) are mandatory. During hurricane season, all employees may be assigned to emergency response teams. Candidates should be aware that the facility prioritizes non-local candidates. Local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
