Nuclear Medicine Technologist
to join their team. This role involves performing
brain SPECT imaging
and related quality control duties in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment. The ideal candidate will be experienced in working with both adult and pediatric patients, highly organized, and committed to delivering compassionate care.
Key Responsibilities: Perform
brain SPECT scans
according to protocol. Prepare and administer radiopharmaceutical doses to patients. Prepare patients for scans, including IV insertion and patient education. Process, print, and maintain scan images. Conduct daily quality control procedures on cameras and hot lab equipment. Maintain and update all documentation, including logs and regulatory records. Manage the clinic’s nuclear medicine inventory and supply ordering. Perform required testing and calibration:
Daily constancy tests with two sources Weekly wipe tests Quarterly dose calibrator linearity tests Annual geometry and accuracy testing Semi-annual sealed source leak tests
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain clean and organized workspaces. Qualifications: Current and valid
Nuclear Medicine Technologist License
in the applicable state. Experience in a
high-volume outpatient setting
preferred. Comfortable working with patients of all ages, including children and those with behavioral or psychiatric conditions. Excellent time management, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to explain technical procedures to non-medical individuals. Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy. Familiarity with
brain imaging
is a strong plus. Physical Requirements: Ability to sit and view a computer screen for extended periods. Frequent use of hands for typing and handling equipment. Occasional standing, walking, and lifting of items up to 15 lbs. Must be able to communicate effectively via phone and in person. Work Environment: Indoor, climate-controlled outpatient clinic setting. Moderate noise level typical of a medical office. Collaborative team environment with a focus on
