Job Description

This role covers the Central US Territories

The Market Development Specialist will drive business growth by identifying market expansion opportunities, targeting new customers within a specific market, and executing market development aspects of the commercial plans, in collaboration with the Sales and Marketing Teams. The position will build relationships with key potential customers, educate them on the product's benefits, and drive adoption and utilization to achieve or exceed revenue targets within a designated region or territory.

What you will be responsible for: Serve as a credible and trusted market subject matter expert, representing the interests of both TMC and its customers. Conduct thorough market research to understand customer needs, competitive landscape, and industry trends. Partner with Sales/Sales Leadership to develop target market development and acceleration strategies aligned with business goals to expand existing customer base and drive new surgeon acquisition with new and existing products. Partner with individual Sales Representatives across the team's district on effective selling strategies for new products. Facilitate communication and collaboration from beginning to end with the Sales Representatives supported. Ensure there are clear lines of responsibilities between the teams. Collaborate with product management and marketing teams to support launch plans for new products. Utilize product messaging and positioning to effectively communicate the value proposition to customers. Collaborate with Medical Education to support the execution of educational programs, including clinical training, webinars, and conferences to promote product adoption. Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers, including physicians, surgeons, hospital administrators, and distributors. Conduct surgeon visits to understand their needs, address concerns, and work to resolve concerns in collaboration with internal technical teams. Identify and develop sales leads to generate new business opportunities. Partners with Product Marketing and Sales Training to provide sales teams with in-depth product knowledge and clinical data to effectively present the product. Establish and measure performance metrics for market uptake and to ensure long-term customer retention. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Business or a related field required. Master's / MBA preferred. 4 years of related experience in market development, clinical, customer success or similar sales/marketing role in the medical device industry (orthopedic - foot and ankle required); 5+ years of experience for Sr. level role with established relationships Experience developing a new market, i.e. implementation of key tactics, execution and performance tracking is strongly preferred This position is required to travel 50+% of the time.
