Nature and Scope

:

Under the direction of the Youth Development Director, the Program Support Specialist provides hands-on support for the successful operations of various programs, such as Y Campus Connection, Day Camp and Youth Sports. They will support practices, processes, and procedures for strong program and project management.

Minimum Requirements

:

High School Diploma required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong customer service skills and personal commitment to service and hospitality. Ability to handle multiple tasks, work independently, problem solve and possess effective time management skills. Ability to establish, collaborate and maintain relationships with staff, YMCA members, and volunteers Exemplify YMCA values (caring, honest, respect & responsibility) and a professional image. Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, quick learner of internet applications and computer platforms Pass the State of Georgia criminal background check, pre-employment drug screen and MVR. Typical requirements within 30 days of hire include completion of New Hire Orientation, CPR and Spirit Training. Responsibilities

:

Supports aspects of the Y Campus Connection, Day Camp and Youth Sports. Supports operating plans to promote program growth, program impact and safety for the YMCA. Assists with scheduling staff interviews and serves on the interview panel as needed. Assists with preparing and leading staff trainings. Works cooperatively with volunteers, professional staff and other program staff. Assures compliance with state and local regulations. Maintain accurate program documentation (files, reports, rosters, health records, etc.) Assists in the marketing and distribution of program information, may organize and schedule program registrations. May review and process program scholarship applications. Promote an inclusive, welcoming, and respectful environment that embraces the diversity of all participants. Responds to all member and community inquiries and complaints in a timely manner. Participates in meetings, cabinets and work groups as assigned. Performs other duties as assigned. Follow and maintain sanitary habits in accordance with CDC guidelines and YMCA Safety Protocol. YMCA LEADERSHIP COMPETENCIES (Leader):
